Power and light surging after Battery Relocation

Hello All,

I purchased the a battery relocation kit from Summit and installed it in my 1G AWD. Everything was fine and I had it grounded to the center of the Spare tire wheel well. A Few days agoo I started to notice my car would act strange. I would be crusing around 2,500RPM and the RPM would start fluctuation erratically.

The next day I started to notice my lights dimming and I can tell the fuelk pump keeps cutting in and out from the sound. This is causing a host of other problems like, fuel cut and fireballs from exhaust. All these problems are related to my electric problem mentioned earlier.

Anyone have an idea of where I went wrong? Should I just replace the battery and see what happens or am I missing something here?

Battery and Alternator are new.

What voltage is your battery running while the car is on?? You may try changing the ground.

what size of wire runs from under the hood to your battery in the trunk? hopefully its awg2. number 2 wire is the proper size. my friend did the battery to the trunk with 4 gauge and had problems similar to what your saying. if you got 4 gauge its probably not adaquate. switch to the bigger number 2 wire. and your ground needs to be as big, if not bigger than the positive. if you have tiny ground wire it will cause this. check your voltage. and make sure that the factory grounds under the hood that once went to your - battery post are properley grounded. hope that helps
