I've been thinking about getting a meth kit, just wondering on what is the best route for me. Mods in profile, but I'm also getting an fp manifold, 68hta, and v3 lite installed soon. But doing maintanance first, as well as some ARP headstuds. I'm just wondering on where to install the nozzle, which kit, which nozzle, mix strength. Ect.

I'm thinking devilsown universal kit and running VP M1 mixed w/ water. But I really need opinions!

I also was going to upgrade to gm maf, I have it as well as the cable for link, after searching it seems kindof a bad choice but I may stick with it.

The Devils Own kit is great, it's what I run. If you argetting link, consider going speed density or install the nozzle post maf. Also with link you can hook the pump to run off the of link under specified conditions instead of a standard value psi switch.

Where are you getting your VP1?

I with the nozzles, start with the smaller one provided in the kit and see how it works and then try the next one in the kit.

I would highly recommend welding a bung into the IC pipe for the nozzle. Trying to thread it into the thin walled pipe doesn't work too well.

Can you give me a little more info in this? Sounds interesting.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

Where are you getting your VP1?

A place called "The Drag Shop" it's in Carrolltown, Pa

Also, Do you use the Universal kit from them or the DSM stage 2 kit?

And I was thinking of running the nozzle into the throttle body elbow.

"Upgrading" to a gm maf would be my second choice, should I have to choose between that and ECMlink v3 lite SD. I'd recommend some searching on SD, just like you've done with the gm maf, before you decide. After that you can also get some mod money selling the gm maf ;)

It's often tough to predetermine what mixture and volume a car will like. Fortunately ECMlink has great logging capabilities, and you have multiple forums in which to post your logs for advice (on mixture and volume). The method I used was trial-and-error. If you follow the above advice about small nozzles first, with sensible tuning, you will be just fine. Be sure to take advantage of posting your log when you start tuning, that is before you start tuning, so the experts can give you the go-ahead, and then subsequent advice.

I like the nozzle in the LICP, just after the IC core, with an IAT sensor in the TB elbow.

The DSM specific kit will have DSM install instructions, which tell you which wires to use. The kit however is just a pump, controller, and accessories, so the universal can be made to work if you have some reason for buying that instead (used..?). I've run a Devils Own progressive kit and was happy with it, just for a second opinion.
