Possible Broken Timing Belt???

I have a 95 Talon TSI AWD. I was driving around 45 mph, my motor shut off and made a faint grinding sound then that was it. I coasted to a stop and tried starting it. It turns over really fast with a weak compression sound. Did I break my timing belt and bend my valves? I've been having poor porformance for a few days. I thought it was due to my Apexi Super AFC II. Some how the settings got reset. I was in the process of retuning them. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

First take off the timing belt cover and see if the belt broke and go from there. Let us know what you find

O.K. I took off the timing belt cover and the belt is on. It's in great shape and the timing marks match up. I'll take a compression test next.
