Ported 2G o2 hsng flow enough for EVO3 16g?

Got a deal for a 2G o2 hsng ported out to 2.5" at the dp connection for $50 shipped. Will this handle the flow for an EVO3 16g or be a restriction? Wanted a tubular but dont see any used right now and dont want to chance an evo o2 hsng not fitting right.

I've got one waiting to be installed on my evo III 16g as well. I would imagine it should be enough if coupled with a decent downpipe. Certainly a smaller restriction than the stock housing for sure.

I'm going to order my downpipe soon (undecided, advice?) and install the o2 housing at the same time. We'll see how it goes.

I got the Exhaust Depot.com dp. Its full stainless starting off at 2.5" to a 3" flex then 3" back no cat, its got a 2 hole flange that ends up in teh same postition as the flange on the back of the stock cat. I cut this flange off though to slip into an ATR 3" ss catback. Very nice welds and overall quality/fitment and only cost $169 for FULL stainless steel.

youll need to port the opening of the o2 housing a bit to match it to the evo3.

edit I meant for the turbine wheel and wastegate part needs to be ported a bit

yes it should bolt to your stock catback but you dont want to do that, either get the catback from there also or Ive seen full stainless tanabe and other brands for 95-99 GSTs for $350, in 3" size, forget where I saw it.

Yes it will handle the flow.
The best thing to do is make sure the entire exhaust(turbine) side is ported out to aprox 2.5 and polish smooth.

Then go into the wastegate side and port it out as much as you can without making the walls to thin. Again, polish smooth.

Also open up the exit of the wastegate tube, where it merges at the O2 sensor.

The last thing to do is to port match the turbo to the gasket and the O2 housing.

I did exactly this on a 50 trim and it works perfectly. No creep or spiking.

edit: As far as a DP, I suggest going with RRE's(either cat elim or made for a cat)
I'm running my ported 2G O2, RRE DP, high flow cat and N1 catback.
