Ported 2G, EvoIII, or THIS!

from what ive heard you really dont even need to touch the runners. Porting the manifold is all about opening the collector, but make sure you keep the divider. you just knife edge that. (From the mouth of RRE)

Porting is the BEST way to fix the creep issue with 16g turbos. If you port it and it still wont hold within 1-2 psi of set boost then it was not ported correctly, understand now that there are other contributing factors such as a GOOD boost controller, o2 housing and such.

My history with a b16g NOT ported:
I tried an EBC (profec b), helped some but not nearly enough.
custom o2 housing w/ 1.75" dumped internal wastegate, helped but still way too much creep.
redid the o2 dump with THREE INCH PIPE, it barely fit on the flange, but still DID NOT fix creep!!

Finally broke down took the turbo off and got it ported, guess what...creep gone.

I had talked to several companies about how to solve this problem, forced performance was the only company that said port the turbo and it will stop no flapper needed.

I'm sure Oldman is tired of posting on these but he also preaches on the necessities of porting.

(I need to save this and repost it on all the "creep" threads :D )

Good Luck!

+1 for you.

I don't think many people understand what actually causes creep. You can have the biggest most awesome flowing exhaust on the planet and you will still get creep if you have it already. Porting the O2 housing will help with flow, but that might make the creep worse. The CORRECT way to cure creep is to port the exhaust housing on the turbo. It basiaclly can not flow enough to bypass the turbinewheel so boost keeps increasing. If you make the exhaust flow better this may cause it to creep more becasue the exhaust is trying to come out faster but the hole in the WG is still to small.

I also had creep on my 14B with a 3in O2 elim exhaust. I cut out the divider and it fixed it. This was just a bandaid fix but I had to wait a bit to put my 20G and now that it is on I have no problems.

I'm creeping on the 14b right now too.Driving me crazy!I have a 2g02 housing, but i never got around to finish porting it.Hopefully this will solve my problem.Mine creeps to 18 psi (1.2 kg/cm) and then i hit fuel cut.Creeping on a 14b is very possible.
