Just about 30min my car was sitting in park then out of no were coolant started gushing out. I turned my car of and popped my hood and to see a small stream of coolant shooting out of a small line. I waited a bit and turned the car back on, coolant started to drip out, but then turned into a steady stream. I didnt keep the car on long. Luckly I had a friend that lived 2 blocks away, I turned my car on again and drove it there, It keept its temp the whole time, but when I got to his house and parked it it was still streaming out coolant. The hole is relativly small. Its on a line that is below were the top hose from the radiator goes into the engine. The part that is leaking seems to be rubber, but further down the line seems metal. I took a pic of the area but the computer I am on wont let me bring up the picture. If anyone knows what this line is called so I can grab a replacement please let me know

I'm not an expert on the 6-bolt motors but is it a L shaped hose. If so you can go to your local auto store and pick up some Heater hose the same diameter until you can Order the OEM hose that is pre bent. Unless you have a local Mitsubishi Dealership with a Parts Dept. But you still might have to order one. hope this helped.

Ya I had the same thing happen to me except it wasn't the l shaped hose it was the other one n I had to take min a part at the gas station that sux. Fixed mine up enough to limp her home n fixed it that nite sucks when u own a galant vr4 an the intake piping is all up in the way LOL.

Regular hose will work in a pinch. Make sure it's long enough to make a loop or it will collapse and shut off flow. Sounds like its the line to the oil cooler.

Make sure you brake clean all of that coolant off of your block and belts. Nasty stuff to have hanging out under your hood.

Yea it sucks, Well tomarrow is going to be a play day. Replacing the VC gasket, this line, and going to dump some sea foam in to see were and how bad my boost leaks are.

I'm guessing you mean "exhaust leaks". :)

I was told you can use sea foam for boost leak tests to.

Here is the pic

Never heard of that. Usually I spray starting fluid around the air pipes and when the engine revs up a bit. That means its sucking in air in that region

that sounds simple to, I have had others say that your pour a little seafoam in a vacumme hose and it will puff black smoke were you have leaks

Ok so spary starting fluid of boost leaks and seafoam for exhaust? I would just do both.

ok i fixed my leak but now my temp gauge is not working, It worked for a few minutes then droped back all the way down.

Now i fixed my temp gauge(plug feel out) bigger problem is that my lower hose is warped and spits fluid in when i get about 4k rpms, and also with my luck none of the autopart shops in the area have the part on hand. So i ordered it and hopefully it comes tomarrow.
