polyurethane Bushings?

I called Mitsubishi and they said that the lower control arm bushing was under a recall so they are going to fix it for me even though I stripped the bolt myself.. So Im set!

I'm not entirely sure if you understand the issue fully or if Mitsu just told you some shit. Either way, as you know, the lateral arms are under a recall for all 2gs. The balljoint, an unrelated part to suspension bushings, could have been subject to moisture/contaminents leading to premature failure and that's why there is a recall.

Since you marred up the threads/nut for what I presume to be one of your lateral arms (you didn't mention which balljoint was screwed up) you get the bonus of receiving a new $3x.xx part with free installation. I'd say you done good. :thumb: One other tidbit, I wouldn't leave the dealership until they performed an alignment on the car, too. The argument being that any tampering with the suspension components will throw off your alignment.
