Pocketlogger help.

I bought a logger cable off ebay for my 1990 eagle talon about 2 or 3 months ago. I finally got around to buying a Palm but now I have lost the directions on how to install the cable. I know it installs to the diagnostic port and got these directions off MMCD, but my cable only has 3 wires and his has 4. Anyone care to clue me in? Thanks.

I tried to install it like in the diagram on the mmcd site, except just guessing. Green wire in the uppermost pin and the grey and black wires as ground, but nothing hapenned. Did I get jipped on the cable?

Hmmm I took it apart and cant see any of the wires or the board. Theres some kind of resin or someting covering everything. I tried to scrape a bit of it away near the connector and found the green wire. According to the schemadics, its the data wire. So the other two are ground? I thought these cables had to be powered?

You only need three wires on your car. It is powered by the ECU signal if I remember correctly, I have the diagram around here somewhere if i can find it I will post it for you.

That would be greatly apriciated. I tried almost all of the configurations with the 3 wires and the 3 pins shown on the MMCd site.

well mine have the self looped ground and I still cant get mine to work?

I hook it up to #1, 11 & 13 and i still get nothing.

maybe i should just go with th epocketlogger software, but then again if the mmcd isnt working would the PL work?

How are you connecting it to the palm? Mine came with a female plug, so I had to build my own cable to swap the TX/RX and convert it to male ("null modem")
