I have been trying to figure out why my car has the PO100 code. I got another MAF and the codes still comes up after reseting it. Any one have any idea why would this code come up. The car failed the emissions test, and I need to have this issue fixed by next week hopefully. Please help!!!

I did look it up but I was told to replace the Mass air flow sensor. I did but the code still comes up.

I will as soon as I get home. The car does idle a little bit. Do you think the O2 sensor may cause this issue or the ISC?

Also my car temperature gauge is all the way up like if it was overheated but the car actually doesnt overheat???

check your coolant temp sensor, reason's for the codes on our car are very weird every mechanic @ my dealership thought that my p0125 code for coolant temp excessive time to reach closed loop thought it was my t-stat and it was my front o2 sensor. coolant level/sensors in these car's can mess with a lot of things fuel mixtures and so forth, if your car in not overheating and your gauge says it all the way up it may be that your coolant temp sensor bad. I don't think that your o2 sensor would cuase your temp gauge to go up, it may have something to do with the code but your coolant sensor should be what is happening to your gauge.

Thanks for the info. I will try to get another one this weekend. I let you know what happened

are you sure your MAS is plugged in? or maybe a wire broke at the connector? if you turn you car on with the MAS unplugged that is the code you will get. I unplugged mine last night and forgot to plug it back in before is started the car and that was the code so maybe it's either unplugged or the connector is shot, or it's sensor related? (coolant)

I replaced the MAF once already. I also looked at the plug, but it looks good. I also replaced the temperature sensor & the O2 sensors, but the temp gauge still goes up all the way up. I'am just cluless. I have no idea what the problem is. maybe there is a wiring issue on the engine somewhere or a sensor. I plug the sensor in and out and the engine dont make any changes of idle or anything. its weird it should act different when unplugged and plugged right? Someone please help me.

When I had my first DSM (98 GS-T) I use to vent my hks ssqv because I was a dumb, I would get this CE light, I forgot what the code was for, I even brought it to mitsubishi, because at the time I was scared to diagnose and fix the car myself. Anyways, they changed some sensor and of course reset the ecu, and of course the CE light would be off.

So I get the car, and the bov is still vented, then after driving it a bit, CE light comes back on.

I finally recirculate the BOV and CE light never comes on. You know how people have said venting BOV reacts different for different DSMs, some not as bad as others, but still not the right way to run it regardless if there is no noticible problem, well that was mine, I wish I had the paper from the dealership to check and report here..

but this might be an off the wall thing, but if your venting, recirculate and see what happens, your not suppose to be venting anyways as i'm sure you know.
