Plz Read.. Need help with hood

hey this might seem like an odd request.. but i need to swap with someones 2g oem black hood for like a day haha.. when i bought my car out of state the hood was replaced for some reason by the seller so i dont have the emissions stickers that says my car is ok to be in CA.. i'll take whoever out to lunch or whatever.. but i took it to the dmv and they didnt find the stickers during the inspection.. so they sent me to get an inspection by chp.. which my car wont pass because of exhaust.. and proabably bunch of other crap.. well if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.. thanks..

I didnt know those stickers were neccessary......i just got a CF hood....so does that mean i really shouldnt think about moving out of state?

The "stickers" aren't on the hood. There's one on the driver's door jamb that says whether it's a California car, or a Federal.
After-market parts have the stickers on them.

BUT the sticker that I need is under the hood on the left side.. check for yourself.. it says something about emission crap.. i looked under my friends rs hood the other day and saw his..

There's nothing on there that isn't in the shop's books (or whatever data site they subscribe to). Everything works off the VIN.

ok i could understand that but the dmv are a bunch of a$$h0l3s and just sent me on my way to make an appointment with the chp to get my car inspected.. so if anyone out there has a black hood.. id be very grateful and make it worth your while

haha i like my hood too.. im not asking to switch forever.. just borrow for a day.. go to dmv.. they'll see stickers.. then i'll pass the inspection.. and take you back your hood.. its not like u'll be without a hood in the time being since u'll have mine.. well tell me if you wanna do it.. sooner the better for me since i only got till the end of this month till my temp. permit runs out..

Something's goofy here. All the CHP looks for is the VIN on the dash, doorjamb and "a couple of other" places (confidential VINs).

well i dont care you gotta make the drive tho the hoods not any of my concern i jsut got it lying around in my garage i got a carbon fiber one now but if you want to i dont care you gotta make the trip send me a pm or whatever

another thing chp does is look and say hmmm... you have a mbc... you have a loud exhaust... that intake isnt legal... how about all that custom piping... then they dont pass you... anywho, my hood is in damn good condition... i definately dont want to trade hoods or anything... just gotta go to dmv and get THEM to pass me so i dont have to make an appointment with CHP and get b1tch3d at for everything that is custom
