I have a plug wire that keeps sliding up the plug when I'm driving around. The wire seems to seat itself on the plug just like all the others but slides itself off after like 30 seconds of driving. It slides up about 1/2 of an inch.

My AFC reads counts of knock whenever it starts coming off the plug. The logger doesn't, so I'm not overly concerned about that. Obviously when it does this the car tends to miss quite a bit.

The solution is probably just to get new plug wires...but I'm curious as to why it would do this in the first place.

I had the same problem with my wire plugs it was the well closest to the timing belt
(belive it is #4) but no matter how many times I pushed to down it kept working it self back up. My guess would be vibration. If they are the stock spark plug wire most likly the rubber is old and just wont grip like it used to. I just replaced em with NGK wires and plugs havnet had the problem ever since.
