hey guys, i have been fighting fuel issues with my car for a long time now. my setup is pte 50 trim turbo with external gate, 3in dp with exhaust, spearco fmic, stock ecu in the car currently compensating for the 450s, safc, egt, a/f, and boost gauges, recirculated bov, ngk bp7es gapped at .028 with magnecore wires, 3kgt vr4 fuel pump rewired which has about 100k plus miles on it. when the problem i was having is that when i had my denso 660cc injectors in there, all of my fuel trims were jacked with the stock ecu and then i bought a 95 ecu and got a keydiver chip installed and the problem still exist. the fuel trims are still jacked even with the keydiver chip. the fuel trims would tell me to keep adding fuel like i was running lean. so i decided to take the 660s out to get them flowtested and cleaned. i reinstalled the 450s and did a log at only 10 psi. and it also tells me with stock injectors that im running lean. the fuel filter was changed about 50k miles ago. im not sure what to do. i thought the injectors was the cause of the leaning factor but i have to start looking elsewhere now too. the egts at redline was well past the 1600 F. and if i turn up the boost from 10 psi to like 14 psi, the egts will start rising fast and i know if i keep the gas pedal down it would surpass the 1600 F mark with no problems. please help me out. thanks cuong

thats only a smidge lean -- the pump could be tired - and ya may have low f/p..got a gauge ?
1600 for only a sec isnt that big of a deal esp with an aftermarket turbo. Takes a bit more to spool it so the mani's going to get a little hotter.

so is that log a normal log with my setup with only 10psi? i know the pump is quite old also, but is there such thing as a pump getting tired and using its maximum potential? thanks cuong

Could be the timing advance but 2G's timing isn't adjustable so thats not your problem. Maybe the timing belt skipped a tooth? I think its real important to find out your Fuel Pressure at this point and see whats going on, that would tell us alot and narrow down the possibities. maybe the regulator isn't maintaining the correct fuel pressure and that would make both sets of injectors run the engine lean. find out and keep the boost down.

no the timing belt didnt skip a teeth. i just had a shop change out my fuel filter and boy was it a good thing to do. the fuel filter was hella clogged leading me towards what i think my problem is. i havent had a chance to go WOT yet cause i rechecked and the fuel filter is leaking. i need to bring it back to the shop so they can redo it and fix the leak. im hoping this will solve my problem. ill keep you guys updated. thanks
