Is there another name for dsmlink, and is dsmlink a brand or is there seperate brands that make this product. What do i need to use it and and what comes with it.

Side note: (1g talon tsi) I have afcII and 650 injectors

It used to be DSMlink, which was the name of the product. Then they changed the name to ECMlink at version 3 (someone correct me if I'm wrong on that).

He is correct. You do need an EPROM ecu to get the full use out of Link. Use this to help id what you have if you're not sure http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...ecu-eprom-vs-non-eprom-visual-comparison.html

This is correct. The company is called ECMTuning. They changed the name of DSMLink to ECMLink because they expanded to early Evo's as well as DSM's.

Just wondering what's wrong with your current setup? But with the Link its great if your looking to upgrade to bigger things in the future and to get get access to their own forum. If you got the money go for and visit their website for more info ECMTuning, Inc..

Ok quick run down. I brought the car from my brother I have never drove it. Theres parts i brought: evolll big 16g, 650 injectors, balance shaft eliminator kit, 2g pistons 1g rod combo, bored 20 over, pr fmic, all maintenance products,

My brother gave me the afcll bov exhaust was on it, and i believe theres a 2g ported manifold on it i could be dead wrong slap me if i am because theres four 4g63t engines w have and its hard keeping up with them.

I forgot about the fidanza cam gears and flywheel. Cams will be added later.

ECMLink is always a great mod regardless of your set-up. You'll benefit from it, I promise you that plus you'll be able to run whatever size injectors you want (your afc is pretty much maxed out with those 650's). If you don't want to spend the full price, you can get V3Lite for significantly less and upgrade to full version later for the difference in price.

DSM Link is not only a must for tuning. But, it's there to help you out diagnose your car when something goes wrong.
