pistons, rods, and cam questions

I have a 2g 98 mitsubishi eclipse 420a. i was woundering if i havnt done any internal work if it would be ok to do new pistons rods and cams w/o needing any other work at the time. i have a low spending budget and was curiouse if anyone has suggestions??? i was thinking eather je pistons or wiseco with eagle rods. Also i an woundering if neon pistons and rods will work in my 420a eclipse. PLEASE HELP me out!!! thanks:dsm:
 
Huh? You just told us you don't have a lot of money, but you want to do a complete engine overhaul.

If funds are limited, why spread your resources so thin? Just rebuild the bottom end and save the top end for later. It's best to do one thing well, rather than do everything poorly; you wouldn't want to have to go back and replace it all later.
 
What kind of goals do you have for the car? Why rebuild with forged internals if your not planning on seeing any boost...? You could probably do a complete rebuild for the cost of doing a forged bottom end...
