Install on JE pistons and Eagle rods???

hey guys, I am deff. going turbo so the smarter thing is to build my engine first. My question is if I buy JE pistons and Eagle Rods. Can I take off the head, drop the oil pan and unbolt the connecting rods and simply push the pistons up then replace them with the new ones. Or do i absolutley have to get my block homed because i really dont want to. Also with forged internals and a stage 2 turbo kit i will be able to run more boost do you think i will be able to run 13s in the quarter.

We don't bench race on this site. Have you thought about what you are going to do for fuel so you can get to be that quick? Fuel managment?

What compression are you looking at?

if you dont hone the block the new rings will not seal at their best and you will just waste time and money down the road rebuilding again bc of the lack of attention to the block, i say if you going to rebuild the motor, take the extra effort the first time around

building an engine and cutting corners, don't work together. If your building an engine, do it right.

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to hone the block and install the pistons and rods?

varies from shop to shop, city to city, state to state.......easiest way to find out is call some shops up

good luck getting those eagle rods in without pulling the engine if you manage to pull that off i dunno what id say.
