Pin Switch?

Can they be used on any car? I need to replace mine but not sure if I have to get the exact same one or not. 97 GSX, anyone know? If the pin switch has to be from mitsubishi, anyone know which one I'm supposed to get? I know they are cheap but my alarm is going crazy and I just want to get the new one and put it in.

Door, hatch or hood? Just unplug it. If the circuit's open, it won't alarm. That'll give you time to get the parts from the dealer, or to clean off the contacts.

Its for the door, I have to head over to the dealership to get my radio code anyway so that works. Wonder if they have the pin switches readily available? Most likely.. thanks.
