Photoshop my rims? Help?

Hi there I am thinking of Plasti dipping my Rims Black and was wondering if someone can edit a few photo's of mine and paint the rims black?

I was curious to see how they would look before I start this little project of mine! Thanks in advance!

To get a better photoshop you probably need a clearer picture. The better the picture, the better the photoshop.

Makes me wonder if there are gremlins going around stealing that lug nut. When I bought mine, there were no less than four different sizes of nut around the car. It was a bit ridiculous.

There's a secret underground black market of lug nuts (preferably from the front passenger side).

I replaced the lug nut already, I went to the junk yard found a nice chrome lug and took it ;p!

Also this pic is a few days after I bought it and the head lights are a bit cleaner.

I use GIMP ('cause I roll Ubuntu) and just used the lasso tool to select the rims (really carefully). Then, copy them into a new layer, and use the colorize tool to change them to whatever color you want.

(Note, pure black looks odd on real images, so you'll want to keep the saturation up a few notches, and set the hue to something just to the orange side of red.)
