I have read some really good stuff about using this product in the transmition. When I took my car to the shop to have it worked on, I told them to use it instead of whatever the car calls for. They told me to absolutely not use it because it will destroy the transmition. Is there any truth to this? I just feel that so many people on this site do use it, that it must be okay.

Please help me out ASAP because my car should be done by tomorrow and I want to know if it is completely safe for our trannies. I have done plenty of searching on this and haven't really heard negative things about using it.

Please let me know.

Thanks for that info. But a more specific question would be this: Do our synchros have any form of plactic or non-metallic coating around them that is detrimental by using this fluid? I've heard that if they have a coating on the synchros then the fluid will oxidize and ruin the synchros over time.

I just want to be absolutely sure that this stuff will not destroy my tranny after I spent $1000 on it to get it fixed.

Thanks,

Adam

plus, so many of us use it and haven't had problems - only increased performance.

on a side note, i swear.. any post that mentions 'pennzoil synchromesh' as at least one post by defiant :p

I agree that it seems to be really good stuff. I just wanted to be absolutely sure that it wouldn't degrade my new synchros. I'm putting it in this afternoon. I really appreciate all you help in this matter, and I'm sorry that I was so repetitive in my questioning, I just wanted to be absolutely sure. :thumb:

And I agree about Defiant, he must be a little bit of a believer in this stuff! ;)
