I have the Greddy RS BOV and have always had a problem with the flutter which seems to be normal from what I read. The other day it quit fluttering and sounded like I thought it should. So I popped the hood and noticed that the hose connected to the PCV valve had dry rotted and split. I replaced the hose and now have the flutter back. Would that indicate that I have another problem? Thanks for any help!

Have you tested the pcv valve? You should be able to easily blow through it one way and it should seal air tight the other way. This may not apply but do you have a boost controller t'd into the bov vac/pressure line? I've heard of people having issues with a bc hooked up this way.

Also alot of autozone PCV valves have leaked on me only after applying larger amounts of boost (more than you can blow). I only use a mitsu PCV valve for this reason. Try hooking a aircompessor (thru a regulator) set to the amount of boost you are running and plumb that into the PCV valve (removed from the engine alltogether) and see if you feel air on the other side.

PS air should BE ABLE to flow from threads to barb, but NOT BE ABLE to flow from barb to threads.
I also agree, NOTHING should be Tee'd into the BOV line.

ya most boost controllers run from a t in the mani to BOV line.. where are you gettin the info not to splice anything into it?

T-ing into the bov isn't the recommended source for a boost controller, tap it into either the comp housing, jpipe or lower ic pipe. There are lengthy posts on why not to tap it into the bov (so I won't get off topic & clutter this post) as this isn't the preferred location for a bc and can also affect the bov operation depending on which bov you are running and what bc.
