Ok, My dad and I have painted his race car before, I am going to be painting my GS and since its not a race car it my girl go getter. I want it to be nice and even...So my question is is it better to strip your car I.E. Fenders, Front and Rear Bumper and Side Skirts then paint or leave them on so you get a even paint job. I took my car to a guy who did everything at different times and half of the car looks my glossy then the other in the sunlight. I was pissed, Sorry for spelling and so forth. But I am just now getting ready to go to bed...No sleep since friday

I do a lot of custom fiberglass, and body work, and imo u can leave your bumpers and fenders on. there really is no point in taking them off. on the other hand u may want to remove your side skirts (if they are not molded on ofcourse). because if you spray with them on, if you ever decide to remove them later you will have an outline of were they used to be. :barf: . Now, if you have urathane bumers, u will want to mix in your paint a flexable addative, so that if your bumper flexes for whatever reason the paint will go with it and not crack. Do NOT use the same paint with the additive in it for the metal parts of your vehicle, just the urathane. Do a little research on the internet, there is PLENTY of sources,, GOOD LUCK!! :thumb:
