I bought a bumper on ebay that is painted a darker green then my 96 talon. It looks to be 1 or 2 shades to dark. Is it possible to lighten it up in any way or blend it. Or is my only option to have the whole thing repainted. Thanks

I dont know anything about painting/fading to match your color scheme.....but check around for local bodyshops and see how much they charged....should be less than $100...jus spend that and you'll at least have no worry's... :p

does anyone know how much it would be to just have the thing totally repainted?

No more than fading it into your current car color

so you guys think around 100 for a good job, or are you talking maaco. thanks

Buying the paint yourself won't work. It'll be off still. Like you said it's the same color but slightly darker. That means it's made of a different formula. Just using your paint code doesn't mean it'll match. It could come out worse then it already is. A body shop can compare paint chips and make it match. And if they don't match it, you can always tell them to redo it.

how much should i expect to pay to have a good body shop completely repaint the whole thing if i do all the prep work, i dont want to be overcharged

Usually uninstalling, prepping, painting, and reinstalling is like $350. So that's your ballpark to work down from if you do some of the work yourself.
