Hello all. its been awhile since ive been on the site or even looked at my dsm :barf: well anyway, i got to ordering some of the FEW things i know i need. my question is while i wait for them and then a diagnosis, how/what is best for removing the oxidation off the intake manifold and valvecover?

looks like its just calcium.. im guessing.. like a whiteish gray looking stuff.. will pick it up tomorrow. thank you

joseph... have you been stalking my car LOL.. rims arent as bad but do have some... rims arent in anyway useful to me in the situation im in right now anyway so not to worried about them yet

I've had some great luck with using Meguiars "Hot Wheels" aluminum wheel cleaner. I've never seen anything get the stock cast manifold to shine better. Spray on the foam, leave it set for a few min, then hose off. It is a bit rough on black plastics, so be careful.

Comet or similar cleaner works very well with a brush on painted surfaces, and an SOS pad on bare metal surfaces, too. That, and its cheap!

i work at autozone so i think im going to do myself a little shopping.. if i cant get her to run ill make sure shes the nicest looking non-running dsm in ny LOL

see if you have something or can get ahold of something call Aluma-Brite. that's the best stuff you'll ever use no matter how bad it is just spray some on and with in sec it'll come right off.
just make sure you read the bottle before you use it. it is very strong stuff.
