sorry i didn't get this sooner, i don't check in here very often. i check email more frequently what kind of subs are you running off that amp? are both subs bridged to one channel? i'm betting they're 4 ohm subs, which would be a 2 ohm load, and that amp can't handle that when it's bridged. if you take them and wire each sub up to a channel, it won't hit as hard, but it won't cut out. that's the safe way, then save up and get a mono sub amp. they realy help the JL amps are superb. soundstream makes some abdassones i can find for real cheap, and the JBL mono amps 600.1 and 1200.1 put out WAY more power than what they're rated at and sound great. dollar for dollar one of the best on the market today if you need any help, feel free to email me [email protected] i can do custom work for a good price, and i have a portfolio of some of the installs i've done so that you can see what kind of work i do

i have witnessed some soundstreem amps handle a 2ohm MONO load real well, BUT it did shut off after she got hot on longer trips

new or old SS amps? i was referring to the older style rubicon amps... they test out at over 115 dB S/n ratio, and the 500 mono i saw tested put out abaout 700 RMS@2 ohms, and it's made to run 2 ohms, so i don't see overheating to be a problem.. all for 250 bucks

but i'll stick with my JL
