what kind of subs are you running off that amp? are both subs bridged to one channel? i'm betting they're 4 ohm subs, which would be a 2 ohm load, and that amp can't handle that when it's bridged. if you take them and wire each sub up to a channel, it won't hit as hard, but it won't cut out. that's the safe way, then save up and get a mono sub amp. they realy help
the JL amps are superb. soundstream makes some abdassones i can find for real cheap, and the JBL mono amps 600.1 and 1200.1 put out WAY more power than what they're rated at and sound great. dollar for dollar one of the best on the market today
