Other mods to do while doing Timing Belt/WP?

I would go for the underdrive pulley, head gasket and cam gears. If you really want to get into the nitty-gritty, you can gasket match your intake and throttle body. I did this and really noticed a difference. You'd be suprised how far you can get just by correcting the factory flaws in your motor. Like our throttle bodies for example, which are supposed to be 52mm, but seriously taper off going into the intake manifold. And how poorly the intake ports were lined up with the manifold itself. Just by matching everything up with a dremmel, and a sanding bit the car really pulls alot harder in the upper RPM's. Shocking but true. :thumb:

I'm going to be milling the head here in a couple of weeks. We'll see where that goes.

As far as the cam gears, I for one would say that they are a very good investment. About 6 months ago I put them on and noticed a significant gain from around 3 thousand rpms all the way to redline. (oh yeah, and don't waste time paying over 300 for the AEM ones, I paid 120 for the OBX gears off ebay and they've worked great)

Well whatever you do, best of luck with it.

When you get cam gears MAKE SURE you put some loctite on the threads of the gears bolts. You don't want them slipping and changing your timing while your driving. Fidanza had a problem with this on their gears.

I don't understand how your gears gave you more power (unless you tuned them). Its not like their any different than the stock ones, just adjustable.

Yeah I most definitely adjusted them. Well....I didn't but my buddy did. It took a while but we got it running right. :thumb:

It adjusts valve overlap and other things, Compression can also go up.
The cams in your cars are set for best smog and milage output. Most find about 8 hp on a stock car buy degreeing them. Placing the lobe centers were they want to go....

You can move the torque curve around as well. advance or retard the cams to put power down were you want it.

Buy a honda tuning book and read up on it. More then just bling...
