Ostrich 1 how can I see the "tune" that is on the ECU?

My GVR4 has an Ostrich 1 that is connected to the ECU. I have RT Tuner Pro installed on a laptop and the USB drivers for the Ostrich 1 installed. Could someone please tell me what I need to do to see the actual tune in the ECU?

The previous owner said that it would be a good idea to save it to my laptop.

Any thoughts? I am pretty new to tuning.

You can use emutility.
TunerPro and TunerPro RT - Professions Automobile Tuning Software
to save file from ostrich to a binary.

You don't have to use tunerpro too, you can edit the hex and save it to the ostrich with that. There is also a speed density setup that uses the ostrich

Thanks for all of this. I will give it a shot once I know where to find the "tune". What is the actual file extension that I am looking for when I am trying to find the "tune" and what path can I find it under?

Update:

Well too late, I wrote from a blank file to the emulator after I could not find the "tune".

The car won't start now.

What do I do next? The car is now immobile. :D

Bringing it to my local tuner is not an option. I am unemployed. I just wanted to get the car tuned up on my own and then enjoy it if a job came along or sell if it one doesn't.

Any thoughts? I guess this *may* be an opportunity to learn. Hopefully this won't cost me any money.

All is ok now, I found a stock 1g bin to at least get it started. I still don't understand how to look at the map on the emulator/ostrich itself.

Ask the PO for a copy of the .bin and .xdf files he was using to tune the car.
The .bin is the binary image that the ECU runs and the .xdf is the TunerPro description file of the layout of the objects in the .bin

I did, he is a pretty good guy so if he has it he will give it to me. I have owned this car for 6 months though, so I doubt he still has it.

Well it seems you already have the E943 bin for the GVR4 so now you just need to find the .xdf or make one. The E931 source code you can also get from the DSM-ECU archives is pretty close and more than enough to find the differences and to build a .xdf file for the E943 code.

There are some key differences between the DSM and GVR4, the MAF being the most significant off hand.
I don't have one handy or I'd just post it.
