Ok I have been reading, and reading... and more reading about exhaust cut outs and external wastegates. I have a plan and I know where I want my own person build to be at. Normal car by day, Beast at night. I want to run an electric cut out on my downpipe before the bend to the back of the car, then reroute it to the front bumper on the drivers side, yes been done, easy. I also want to weld my flapper shut on my 16g and run an external wastegate from the factory (ported) 2g manifold (have seen it done on a few).

My question is, has anybody/can I run the wastegate dump in to the exhaust cut out (after cut out) and be fine? like so:

I am in the buying/planning phase of this right now and would like opinions. im aquiring everything I need to do this all at once: 660cc injectors, fuel pump, wideband, ext WG, ex cutout, safc.

I already have 16g @ 12psi, afpr, fmic, 3" turbo back, tial bov, mbc... would like to be at 350hp, not a too far fetched goal.

Sure you can do that.:) It will just be like a normal open to atmosphere dump, so it will be loud whenever the wastegate opens since it is not running through the muffler. But it looks good to me... Nothing wrong with that at all.

sweet, thanks! Ive read till my eyes went crossed then took it to paint haha...

Also, im still new to alot of this but i keep reading and soaking it in... but, does the wideband replace the front o2 sensor? does it get its own bung? where would it go on this setup, before or after the exhaust cut out? thanks again

Alright... For the wideband placement you will definitely want to stay upstream from the cutout so you always get a good reading to the sensor. For example, if you had it downstream from the cutout when you opened the cutout you would not get a reading to the sensor because of no flow of exhaust past it. Make sense?

Now you can run the wideband in the front o2 sensor position (which is what I would do) IF you are using the ever popular Innovate LC1 wideband kit because it has a narrowband o2 simulation to wire to the ecu so it can still control everything. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/392384-wideband-install.html#post152463750

alright mostly understood the link :) now second (or tenth) question, can I put any wideband in the front bung or only this Lc1? im kind of a wierdo and would like all my gauges the same haha...

im not opposed to welding a bung in if it HAS to be past the front o2, considering ill be welding/bending all this stuff myself. id just be pressed for space, probably just weld the bung on the start of the cut out before i install it

EDIT, nevermind, ill just run a gauge seperately and leave my front o2 in, no big deal
