One of my friends said he'd sell me an HKS EVC IV for about $160. I was wondering what your views are on this EBC (those of you that have used them...) How much boost does it hold? Do you have any problems? Thanks.

Chris

Probably holds more boost thanyou will ever run. They are nice for the different in cabin settings but a good MBC does the job.

well I'm going to be running up to 30psi.... some don't hold that much... I've got a mbc that works great... just looking to get something a little better.

evo iv w/ fuzzy logic right?

im using one right now, works fine. very easy to use. download the manual from online and go ahead and set up your fuzzy logic then set your low and high boost settings you want.

held boost just fine on both t25 & evob16g.

it will hold your 30psi im pretty sure. i forget the exact number. but i know it can go over 2bars.. never checked on the max, figure ill never get that far.

just download the owners manual online and it should tell you the max.

it holds 2.0 bar ( 29.4 psi ) ... I know because I have one. I think it's a great controller if you don't mind switching from psi to bar to set your boost. Mine freezes sometimes ( like none of the buttons will do anything ) ... but if you just reset the battery and then you have to do 2 3rd gear runs so it learns your boost curve and then enter the boost you want again and then it's fine. I think it's a good controller. Tell him $150 and you'll take it.
