whats the difference between having a recirculated o2 housing and having an open dump?
The only thing i could find was how an open dump sounded amazing and helps with boost creep
i just bought a 2.5inch downpipe and was thinking about buying a new o2 housing on my 14b or porting out the stock one... any advice?

Well here you go, A turbo is driven by exhast gasses and in order to controll the speed if the turbine we let some of the exhaust gasses by-pass the turbine wheel. This is done through a wastegate. The wastegate on a recirculated O2 housing dumps these gasses back into the exhaust system . An open dump O2 housing allows these gasses to escape out of the exhaust system. This means there is less gasses in the exhuast system witch would in theory lower the amount of back pressure on the turbine wheel of the turbo charger.

alright thanks man that makes sense
how much of a difference is there between an aftermarket o2 housing and a ported 1g?

Performance wise on a 14B... They will all be about the same.

Sorry I just realized you said 1G. If you are going to take the time to do some proting get a 2G unit.
