So I got my 400whp kit from MAPerformance. All ready to go. Just need to wait when its a little cooler out to get it all in. I can't work all day in the heat then come wallow in it over a fuel pump :(.
The part I'm holding myself back with is the SAFC.. because electronics give me day-long headaches.

Any tips on where to mount my afpr? I don't want to leave it dangling by the cords like some people who will remain nameless...:D
 
wow i was starting to think this shit was dead, i would mount on the steering wheel post

EDIT: Lookin for some 1g (91) big rods, 2g (95) pistons

Who is taking the complete engine and transmissions (ECU's) out of every single DSM at the Omaha U-Pull it. Every time I drive up there someone has always gotten to the cars before me and literally take everything. :mad:

A few years ago I used to be the Jacka$$ who did this, now it is impossible to find any parts from a turbo DSM.
 
LOL it aint me i've been up there a few different times and i cant find crap

Yeah it is really starting to piss me off. I drive for like 1.5 hours just to get there and I find every single usefull part taken. It used to be that I could go and get an ecu and maybe a 14b and another block/head, know everything is stripped and I just do not live close enough to go and plunder all of the DSM's.

They also get all of the Hyundai VC and the manual steering racks.
 
I actually just try and buy as many 6-bolt engines, 14b's, and awd drive lines as I can afford. I have 14 6-bolt engines sitting in a barn with around 10 transmissions. They are not for sale BTW. I try to collect as many good parts as I can before they become harder to find.

The last few times I was up there I saw a few Datsun 280z's, a Porsche, and even a very rare Fiat and it pisses me off to see some very rare cars that the owners let go to $hit and then they end up in a junk yard. The U-Pull it also will not let you buy full chassis any more to much time to take the car out of the rows.
 
A local guy named christian gets all the DSM stuff from the U-pull it. He works as a core buyer and has struck a deal with them in exchange for some type of payment/service he provides.... THere's on other guy that gets a call when they come in but i haven't talked to him in forever.

I have a 6 bolt Bottom end if your interested? I was thinking about rebuilding it for a back up for when the stock one takes a shit
 
well i knew it would happen sooner or later that i would brake something on my dsm... i am about 60%positive i need a new turbo because i cant hit above 6 psi and it whinesw like a super chargr... i have tested the wg and bov and checked the hoses for any loose ones but didn't find any thing.... i also replaced the ic core with a new one never used... ill be taking the intake pipe off and checking for shaft play when it cools down...
 
ok so who wants to know the good news.... TURBO IS TOAST... TIME FOR AN UPGRADE...
THE NUT HOLDING THE INTAKE TURBINE ON IS NOT THERE ANY MORE AND IT LOOKED LIKE THAT IT WAS BOUNCEING AROUND IN THE WHEEL I DONT THINK IT WENT THROUGH.... SO I WILL BE TRING TO FIND A CHEEP 16G OR 14B REPLACEMENT...:cry::cry::banghead::banghead: IT WAS GOING SO GOOD DAMN DSMS
 
Alright so i have a ?. Im rebuilding my 2nd 6 bolt, and im tryin to figure out what "stock" intake manifold is the best. i have a 1g, 2g, and a Cyclone, then theres the Evo and that one i dont have. are any of these better then the other?

If anyone is looking for some DSM stuff im selling some of my stuff, putting up the Evo 3 16g, some valve covers, bare head, Cyclone intake mani, ETC. PM if interested, and ill see what else i have layin around

well i just spent the past 6-8 hours doing my first turbo swap... its a PINA... got the turbo out easy... got the lines swaped over and atempted to fit up and didn't go so well... but i got it in after a few trys... now im running into issues getting the nuts on the exhast... will hopefully finishing up tomorrow... its going to to busy day
 
ok so i got the exhaust welded up and its functional... dont look good though... i still cant get the bolts in the exhaust mani to head... its to freaking hot to work... will be messing with it a little more tonight...
 
at about 7p.m. i got it back up and running... everything but the air filter fit great.... im trying to figure out how i am going to get a filter on... if any one has an idea let me know... it sounds great...
 
Hey, im from crete and finally getting my 95 awd up and running, has been almost a year, but finally coming together !! I just bought a jm fab race intake SMIM and going to have to agree with las_vegaslazer, 1g, cyclone, 2g, anything doesnt come NEAR this.

Yes anything is better then the stock manni. If you are looking for a 14b or 16g street car the stick with stock. If you want more topend power then go with jmf,ams,bushur,ect...
