Brakes were not working when I got the car. It was missing a rear caliper. Put one on, and as Im trying to bleed the brakes I heard dripping… luckily it was an easy place to use the hydraulic flare tool.

Some great progress on this stock restore. Replaced stock fuel pump/put gas tank in, rebuilt power steering pump, and installed alternator, and turbo.

Lastly my friend Scott worked his magic on a front bumper i traveled 6 hours to get 🤙🏼

Swapped out the gross looking tinted tail lights for stockers, got the whole front bumper, headlight housings, and fog lights on, and working, and to my surprise the original radio and CD player work! Hoping to button everything up next weekend, and get it running.

The car was on the road for the first time in 17 years!! On my birthday no less! Went through hell trying to figure out a low rpm misfire. Turned out to be bad injector pigtails, and wiring. (Pic included) Now I’m just dealing with high idle on cold start, and breaking up in boost. Going to do a boost leak test. I have a suspicion the throttle body will need rebuilding.

Great progress!
I'm not much of a 1G guy, but champagne with Evo wheels hits the spot.
I was never a champagne guy either, but this car was too clean to let it go to someone that was going to destroy it. It grows on you for sure though.

Drove it about 20 miles to work to do the brake lines, and while driving it breaks up under boost. Hopefully it’s just a boost leak. Already has new NGK plugs, and wires. Guess I’ll be digging into that this weekend.

Depends on what's making it grind. I'll take rebuilt over a used unit any day
That’s how I feel too. A basic rebuild kit is 500$ from jacks. Then I’d just have to source bearings, and shims. Which seems to be the hardest part. I have a shop press, and splitters at work. Plus a Honda master tech that has rebuilt s2000 trans. I feel like i can figure it all out. Just unsure about parts availability.
