Has anyone ever had this issue where the seal behind the oil pump pully will not stay in?? it is a pretty major oil leak and i've taken the front of the motor apart 3 times and it came out again with 2 miles.... I even hammered the metal around the seal to make a lip to keep the seal in, but it still slid out. This oil leak is incredibly annoying, and is causing me great headache.

you might need to get the surface resurfaced banging on things with hammers just makes things worse in the long run bud. if you have to get it resurfaced youll have to take the block in. You could try using gasket maker but im not sure that will hold with the pressure in that area.

I am not sure what on the block would have to be resurfaced to fix a problem with the seal on the oil pump.

Granted this is a cheap oil pump, if this problem continues im just replacing the pump with a good one. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem?

But the weird thing about the seal is, you need to take a socket and tap it in just like any other seal would need, the seal has resistance getting tapped in. So I don't feel like its the wrong size.

go to a autopart store and check to see if the sizes varey from the 90-94s, it probly is just a size issue. Its posible the person you got the car from did a mob or a change to it that they didnt tell you about?
