Hey guys, I have a oil leak on my car. The problem is with what I think is called the oil sending unit. What is the unit called that the oil pressure gauge connects to? The small wire coming from the gauge connects to a nipple. Well, the problem is the nipple broke off and caused a pin hole leak. Basically my question is this, what is the technical name of the part I am talking about? I assume I will be able to get this from the dealer or maybe someone on dsmtrader.

It is called an oil pressure switch. There are 2 of them, one on the bottom of the filter housing for the gauge, and one on the front of the housing for the light.

Most any auto parts stores carry them. Around here, the switch for the light is about $8. The switch for the gauge is about $62. I had a spare but I just gave it to a friend last night.
