I know that your return line location has to be above the oil level line so your return doesn't get backed up but I can't seem to find any pictures or info on where that is. To make things more difficult I have a 420a neon oil pan . Anyway if anyone has any pictures of where to tap or info that would make life a lot easier. Thanks in advance.:thumb:

This is where hahn recommends tapping an eclipse pan at, not sure about the neon pan though.

Or better yet, where this guy put it.

Thanks shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for the pic:thumb: You guys think a gasket against a flat surface and the T style brackets would be leep proof or am I just asking for problems?

im sure you could find a way to make it work, but it would be better if you just welded that to the pan or found some one to do it for you, its cheap, easy and more reliable than trying to rig up something like you said.

Yeah I wasn't really gonna rig I mean if I can recal my 4g63 was like that it had a opening and then two mounting wholes on each side and you bolted that T fitting to it. The stock line was one whole unit but I had a sbr return that you just bolted up I thought I could get away with it on the 420a pan too. Like place the T fitting up to where I want it use a sharpy to mark the mounting whole spots and the main while then use a hammer to make sure it's flat then drill the 3 wholes out and mount the T fitting. Does this make sense? Only cause I don't have a bung like the one in that picture.

The only problem I can see is it would have to clear the a/c compressor if you were planning on putting it on or anywhere around the same spot as the bung in the pic I showed you, but u might be able to put it in a similar location as the 4g63 if it fits, just as long as you can get it on the pan above the oil I don’t see a problem with how you do it.

Cool just curious to see if there were any catches as some stuff I"m still new to when it comes to the 420a setup. Clearing the AC should be easy seeing how my compressor is in my closet ROFL

Keep up with the good help and you will be a proven memeber soon. I would give you a plus one but we don't have that power anymore.

You will definitely want to take the pan off. Drilling the hole will get metal shavings in the pan and welding would be extremely difficult I would imagine.

Hmm see I was trying to make this as easy as possible if that's the case I might as well try and wait cause OBX(yes I know that name is like blastfimy here) makes a nice oil pan with fittings already one it that or find someone selling a pan already tapped.
