Oil pan cracked! Help!

Does anyone know a easy fix to a cracked oil pan bottom. I blew a tire on the freeway last weak and apart from my scratched fender, broken bumper and torn lighting harness I now got a minor dent and crack right under the plug. Its real tiny but it leaks oil now about the size of a baseball in one night. Is there anything I can rub on it that will seal the crack? I already tried some rtv sealant and it help but still leaks.

The correct route would be to just buy a new oil pan and install it.

Your most likely going to have to replace it or have it welded.

But you could try some JB weld. You will need to drain the oil clean it really good with degreaser. Then roughen up the surface with some sort of grinding wheel or coarse sand paper. I do not recommend doing it by hand the aluminum oil pan is semi rough to begin with. Clean off metal dust. Then Jb weld it after you allow for the alloted cure time re-fill the oil.

No guarantee on this method.

so then I should just take it off and possibly take it somewhere to get welded. I've seen some from$60 to $100 so I can't buy a new one. The junkyards around here hardly have 2g's.
