I barely bought a 90 eagle talon tsi... the engine didnt have compression. anyways my point is i had an engine that come off of a '92 tsi, that i rebuilt but i used the transmission that came with the '90 . I was putting on the transfer case and it didnt bolt into place. I tried putting pb blaster. I cleaned the splines to where they mesh but nothing. anyone have more knowledge on what might be going on?

The 90 has 21 splines and the 92 has 23.

I tried both of them the 90 and the 92 without any luck!! what about the oil pan? Are they different? It seems like the pan is in the way.. The pan would be from the 92 with a 90 t-c

1G engines whether 6 or 7 bolt will use the same oil pan. Have you counted the splines on the T-cases?

No i haven't to be honest would anything else be the case? Im going to focus on that first though.

I found out the problem to the transfer case not bolting up right.. When i rebuilt the engine I used the same oil pan. The old oil pan was hit by cylinder number 2's con-rod and made a dent big enough to where it was in the way of the transfer case going in smoothly.
