Well I lost almost all of my oil on the way to work the other day. I was really close and made it by rolling into the lot. I towed it home and checked the oil filter which was very lose. There was oil all over the place including the alternator and the rear driver wheel well but it didn't look like the valve cover. I did take off hard from the stop sign up to 6k but then shifted right to 3rd and took it easy. http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234923&highlight=oil+leak
That is almost exactly what happend, only I did an oil change and it didn't help. I used one of those rubber jar opener things to help me tighten the oil filter dow to prevent it and maybe put too much force on it? I felt a little bit of a popping and heard it too. Did I crush the oil cooler or damage the crimping around the filter gasket? I have it up on stands now but it was late and we could not tell what was going on.
If i did manage to mess the cooler up what did I do? This sucks and I thank you guys for any help you give.
