Check for the rubber seal under the oil cap. Most likely it's now a hard "plastic". If so, get a new rubber seal and make sure the cap is tight.

yes its the rubber seal mine did that though the valve cover cracked took it off look it over and replace the cover and gasket still leaked.Bought a new oil cap with the seal never did it agine.

since most r suggesting the oil cap, ill Di that first. u guys think the autozone brand should do? car runs strong now that i replaced my old ebay big 16g with a real mhi small 16g.

No, many won't fit properly. Take the part number to a local Mitsu dealership or order one online.

My car do the same, it's certainly excessive crankcase pressure. Check your pcv valve, buy another oil cap rubber if it's more like plastic than rubber. You can also do a leakdown test even if it's freshly rebuild. If everithing is fine I think it's time for an oil catch can, maybe dual inlet from valve cover to help relief crankcase pressure. That's what I'll do on mine in the next days.

I just got done fixing this exact same issue. first it was my VC cracked to hell. Then my new VC gasket, after that oil cap seal broke. I got new oil cap and still didnt fix it. I had to order a OEM oil cap gasket and pcv valve and so far its all good. I have 2 gaskets on the cap too

Mine looks the same. It's either the VC gaskets (around the spark plugs) or the oil cap (most likely). Do yourself a favor if it's got any semblance of high mileage on it and replace them both. Costs around $50 to do it, and you'll have peace of mind with it so long as you seal the new gaskets properly with some RTV.

A pcv valve is 8 bucks off dsm grave yard. Its a oem and it worked for me. I would replace all 3 and if it still happens then you have a issue with your rings. Also check very carefully for any cracks in the VC it self.

yea so ilooked real close at all the mounting bolts, and sure enough, the ones closest to the cam gears had a crack, actually two. luckily my bro in law has an extra VC and gasket. also gives me a chance to check the pcv valve. also my oil cap didn't have a rubber gasket at all! so it was probably leaking there too under boost. im gonna swap vc's in an hour or so. ill post my findings.easy fix...

I know it's a little off topic but I noticed you were talking about a 16G turbo you bought off eBay, if you're buying parts here and there as replacement then eBay is the way to go, but if you plan on doing a build, I wouldn't suggest buying through eBay, although either way you should be cautious, the safest bet is to buy from Top Rated Sellers. I've never had issues with eBay but I've known plenty of people who have had issues.

Also a PCV valve from any auto parts store is acceptable, I installed one on a 97 Talon that had a hose and bolt plug rigged in place, never had an issue with the PCV after that and that car has been through hell for almost a year since I installed it.

Mine does the same thing. I've replaced my 'plastic' oil cap gasket and it's still happening.

Looks like it's time to check for valve cover cracks.

ok so after a day of driving with the new valvecover, NO LEAKS! can boost worry free. i checked pcv valve so that was good. plus put a oil cap gasket. put silicon on vc gasket & sparkplug gasket. my brother in law had an extra vc that was rewelded, plus I'm liking the RED. TESTA ROSA style. next in line is going over all vacuum lines. what yall think?

my valve cover looks just like the one in the pictures above. how can it be the oil cap if oil is puddling aroud the inside of the valve cover near the spark plugs? has anyon had a problem with the mobil one evo oil caps from stm?

It can puddle there because sh*t rolls down hill. The oil is leaking out the the oil cap and slowing dripping down into the spark plug area. Ever notice how oil runs down the engine then shoots back along the brake lines. Its just how fluids travel, path of least resistance.

Or you valve cover has fracture and small cracks in it that are allowing crank pressure to push oil out.

The evo oil caps are oem spec, they work for all 4g63 motors (just that most will not recommend mobil 1 for their engines). In fact if you check my picture you will see that I am running one. I got a cheap one off of ebay they worked for a month then wend to oem. I love oem.
