Oil filter Keeps loosening

I have a 91 GSX, and for months now my oil filter will randomly blow off when i hit the throttle hard. Ive tried different filters and ive tightened down the fitting (which loosens every time) numerous times and it still keeps happening. Could this possibly have anything to do with mild overheating or should i try to use some loctite on the threads for the filter fitting on the housing side. I do everything myself and would like to think im pretty mechanically inclined but i just cant figure this out. Also I just recently put a cometic head gasket ss oil feed line on to my e16g right before this started happening.

A Drew I Had The Same Problem On 98 X The Stupid Filter Kept Coming Off When I Ran The Car Hard. I Talked To A Friend Of Mine And He Told Me What To Do. I Took Off The Filter And The Fitting Replaced The O-ring Inside, Put Everything Back Together And Tightened The Fitting Put A New Filter And Its Been Fine Since. Once I Fixed That I Ended Up Blowing My Motor(long Story)

Did you double check to make sure that the O-ring off of the old oil filter wasn't still there before you put the new one on?
