so after doin the first oil change on my new spyder when for a little drive. long story short oil filter nut was loose and my filter came loose. not knowing the nut was loose tightened the filter up to here a nice pop sound and a chunk of orange gasket fly out at me from the dark. got it tore down today to find the gasket between the sandwich adapter and the housing is missing about an inch long chunk. Ive been to all the local parts stores and none of them carry said gasket or cant find it in there system. where can i get one??? having to order one from an online vender is currently my last option because im gonna need my car running asap being its my dd. any help info advice greatly appreciated.

That is going to be a dealer only item. You will have to get it from the dealer or an online vendor.

I thought you could simply use a gasket off of a 2g turbo oil filter. I am talkin about the rubber gasket on the oil filter itself. A new gasket of course...

thank you very much for the part# and thought about using a gasket off a filter but really want to do this right. the PO half assed quite a bit on this car

Make sure when you put it back together to clean the oil from the threads of the stud and inside the filter housing and put some red loctite on the stud and torque it properly with a torque wrench.

I have one for you, I PM'ed you with the offer. Can ship it monday for you.:rocks:
