1990 AWD Turbo Talon:

Ok, Had some tweaker screw my shit up.... now I need HELP.... Car was supposed to be all ready to go and when I go to start my car oil just pours out the bottom of my car like something wasn't hooked up... I pop the hood to check it out and to start off he blocked off where the water feed was supposed to run on the turbo, and had a line from the oil cooler running where the water feed runs to the thermostate housing. So I buy the water feed line and hook it up correctly, but now I have that line from the oil cooler just sitting there by the water feed and oil feed lines by the turbo... Where is this supposed to go? any info would be great... I know the oil feed and water feed lines on the turbo are hooked up correctly now, just need to know where the line from the oil cooler is supposed to run now..

oookay. Correct terms would help out my headache alot here...

Water feed, Water Return
Oil feed, oil return

To me it sounds like your saying he took the line from the oil cooler and stuck it on the water feed line and after that Im just really confused.

P.S. If he somehow hooked up the water feed line into your oil feed port on the center cartridge (your calling it the turbine housing) then I would drain the oil pan and possibly drop the oil pan to clean out all that h20 and replace it with good oil before you really do damage.

Let me take a shot at this.

In the stock configuration for a 90'.

1. Oil feed coming from the front passinger corner of the head to the top of the turbo.

2. Oil return coming from the bottom of the turbo to the oil pan.

3. Water feed from the thermostate housing to the rear of the turbo.

4. Water return coming from the front of the turbo to water pipe right behind the turbo.

You need to give us exact details of how the guy hooked it up and how you fixed it. From reading your post, my guess is.......well nevermind, there are just too many possibilities.

Ok, this is all correct now... He had 1 of the lines from the oil cooler connecting to where the water feed from the thermostate housing was supposed to go. Now that it's all hooked up correctly, I still have the line from the oil cooler revealed and not sure where it's supposed to go. It's just sitting by the water feed and oil feed lines. Again, thanks for all the help.

You're welcome, all you have to do now is remove that line and install a set screw to block off the hole at the filter housing.

Ok, so I remove that line completly and just block it off? Then I should probably change my oil hook everything up and see how she works....

Correct.

ok hooked everything back up and blocked off the hole to the oil filter housing, when i started car, oil started pouring out again. This time I was able to find out where it was leaking from and it was from one of the lines on the oil filter housing.... looked like it was leaking because of the metal washer but when i removed the banjo bolt and washer and put new one's on it would just squirt out. I'm thinking that the hole the banjo bolt goes into is stripped.... So would I just need to buy / replace the oil filter housing and is that too hard of a job?

Just trying to warn you from my horrid happenings but if you lose oil like that, please check the dip stick and refill it with oil or you may be replacing rods/cranks/bearings.

ohh yea car isnt going anywhere... just sitting in driveway until no fluids come out while running... hopefully get this fixed tomorrow...
