Off the wall readings on MMCD

I got a question about my pda logger. I am using mmcd and palm 100. I bought one of those cables off of ebay for like 18 bucks shipped. Anyways I am getting readings that are way off. For example 125 counts of knock, 250 on timing. 4.8v on o2. WTF This is crazy. Im assuming its the cheap ass cable, but Ive heard that the 90 ecu is a little picky. I cant even pull any codes. Any body have experience with this?

What version of MMcD are you using and what version palm OS.
If MMcD is 1.8g(what i'm using) and palm OS is 3.5 or higher then it's a cheap-ass cable.
Get one for the 45bux (shipped) that's what I got, and it reads fine. Also came w/ a burned CD already

You will have to register to download the 1.8 version but it's free. I just downloaded it the other day, and it works well.

What kind of cable is it? I had both 'ebay' kinds before, and they both worked the same..... maybe you should borrow a friend's before buying another, just to be safe

Its not the exact same as stated, it looks like it but it is for the pda. The one shown is for a laptop.

I had that same kind too, but I never had any problems with it.... maybe you got a bad one?
It's just a diode and resistor anyway, won't really matter which cable it is.

Or it might be my ecu I do have the bastard year of the dsms. I know I wired it correctly also. Screw it Ill get a different cable. !
