Alrighty, so heres the issue. Recently just took my GSX across the country (Toronto - Calgary) Ran like a champ the whole way
(pat on back for a good rebuild,
)
Didn't drive it for the past 2 days, but when i took it out today, i noticed the EGT was acting up. Start the car, it would rocket up to the max (2400F) and slowly creep back down. "hmm, that was odd, but whatever"
Drove along, everything going great. sitting around 1000-1400F which was pretty normal as far as i'm concerned. Jump on the highway, doing around 110km, egt reading 1400-1500. All is cool. but as soon as i let off the gas it would ROCKET up to 2400 and peg itself!
As soon as you open the throttle just the slightest bit, it would go back down to 1400-1500F.
Slowing down, whether it be braking or down shifting, it would rocket up and slowly creep back down. Only happened when driving on the highway, not in the city.
Bad sensor? Thoughts?
Oh, it's a prosport EGT
