o2's at .0v at idle?

My o2's are are very low around idle, and even at higher rpms, it will be around .97v and drop to .03-.07 and spike back up again. I don't understand what this could be?

Any help would be great,

It is supposed to cycle. That is the ecu adjusting the fuel trims (and 02 trims) for emissions and gas mileage.

It should peg >.85 at wot and stay there, otherwise it should jump and cycle.

THis is probably not the case, but I have an AF gauge also, and the O2 sensor was grounding out at the spot where I had tapped into the wire. If you have an AF gauge, check it.

Ok, I am still puzzled by the non-cycling of my o2's now. The second o2 does go up and down but only with thottle changes. The front o2 reading move very little. Any idea why? Is it because I installed a MAFT? I know the reason for the flucuating readings is the ECU adjusting for rich/lean.

Mine just went flat, does'nt cycle, got a slight reading even at WOT, is there a grounding strap on 2g's?

yours has probably gone bad, I would check the wiring. I recently installed some shifter bushings on the tranny of my wife's car and stupidly unplugged the sensor and didnt plug back in, for some reason it still read .04 volts. I almost replaced the thing but then I looked at the wires. So if you did any work in the area lately....

just something else to consider.. i dont' know if you are 1G or 2G, but: you will have very low voltage from your o2 sensor at idle sometimes, depending on how hot it is and if you just backed off the throttle. this is because you are cutting fuel dramatically when you slam the throttle shut. when this happens, no fuel = high oxygen in your exhaust, hence the low voltage of your o2 sensor.

on the 2G cars with the after cat sensor, it should remain avbout the same voltage all the time, this one just testst that the cat is working. you should n't have fluctuating voltage.
