My o2 sensor is showing a constant .02-.04v on dsmlink. I do not have a CEL, and I have replaced the sensor. The guy who had the car before had a a/f gauge running off the stock o2sensor. It was plugged into something up under the dash on the far passenger side. It looks like it would be a stock connector, but nothing is connected on the other side since I took the gauge out. It's a 1 wire connector.

Would I use a voltmeter or ammeter, and would I have to splice into the wire coming out of the connector, or just pull the plug? And check from the actual pin.

I have seen bad o2 sensors not throw a code so if your voltage is stuck then just replace it

also to really test it richen it up like 20% at idle to see if the voltage changes

I've already replaced the o2 sensor and it does the exact same thing the old one did.

So am I measuring voltage between the pin and wire, or current, or resistance?

oh sorry i missed that part.

can you post an idle log from link?

also did you just install link or were there any recent upgrades?

At work right now, trying to get some ideas before I get home. I guess I should have said, he dsmlink is new, as well as eveything else, fresh build, full build. I didn't do mug wiring work, and the only thing i did dealing with the o2, was take the a/f gauge out. What is that connector on the passenger side under the dash near the door??

post a log and maybe even post this problem with a log on the dsmlink forums. are your injector settings correct? correct size? correct dead time? was this purchased new or used?

a log will say more then you can describe with words

The link is new, injectors are right, fuel pressure is right, but the o2 never does anything but go between .02and .04v. Doesn't oscillate at idle, or go up when you give it gas.

I still would like to know what that connector is, the guy before me had a prong stuck in it and ran his a/f gauge off it. Now that I took it out, I can't find anything that would plug back into it, and it's sitting there open.

post a pic of that connector and show us where its at im wondering if he had an SAFC or something and he didnt reconnect the o2 sensor

Ohhhh he did have one. I thought i reconnected everything, unless you use wires further from the harness that comes right off the ecu.

well for an safc only one wire should be cut and the rest should be spliced only the maf wire needs to be cut for an safc.

log maf raw on dsmlink and you should see a value between 50-100 hz around idle if you have a 0 then it wasnt reconnected...

double check all the wireing down there to be sure you didnt miss anything

Here's the connector he had his gauge running off of. It's tucked up there.

Here's a pic of the wires for both the o2 and Maf coming out of the ecu. The white one is for the o2, it's connected to a black wire with red dots on it. Then the white wire goes into that big brown thing, where a black and bare wires come out of which connect to a black wire with red dots. And a bare wire comes out that's connected to the Maf wire, and those black wire... Does that look normal???

I'm sure the brown things are shrink wrap.

That looks confusing brown nope thats from the factory, exposed wires? , Need better pic .

Now that at I look at it more, the bare wires go into the brown thing and wrap around wires like a sleeve, looks stock. Maybe ground? BecAuse when all the wires come out of the sleeves the bare wire connects to the black wires.

I think everything looks good there.
