Alright, so I bought an aftermarket header for my RS a few months back and I never noticed this until the other day. My o2 sensor before the cat is now touching my AC fan. (It actually broke in half the 2 days ago because of this.) Before I had a little bit of space, but I bought a replacement and installed it and it is actually rubbing the fan now. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks.

If you got the Ebay Exhaust Manifold with downpipe. It does come very close.... I think NGK makes a smaller O2 sensor, but there is ENOUGH room for you not to break your sensor in half...

Well this is the best picture i could get.

what's the warranty on the header? I'd try to work it out with the seller. I honestly feel that you would be better off returning it and purchasing a different header. I wouldn't trust the quality of workmanship/design with silly mistakes such as placing an O2 bung where it would get in the way. DC sports makes a good 4-2-1 header and everything works/fits perfectly.

Well I believe I've had it too long to do that LOL. But they did a freaking perfect job on the catback exhaust so I thought I'd get the same results with the Header, guess I was wrong :/ guess thats eBay for ya. Besides I'm done putting a lot of money into the RS I need to get to work on my GST that has just sat there since I bought it. Oh look at my old o2

Same thing happened on to my daughter's RS. I pulled the fan assembly out and bent some of the shroud for a little more clearance.

I also noticed that when you put a little torque on the motor it would rise and contact the fan with the sensor. Replaced a broken motor mount and that cured it.

Yea I'm probably going to get some urethane motor mounts here soon, but for now me and my dad are just gonna chain the motor down like we have down on our drag car for the moment as a temp. fix.

yeah removing the fan would be fine for a temp solution. 4 bolts and a simple electrical connector.

You can either get a slim fan or if you have a person that welds try to get them to move to the other side

Or you could take out the fan and check if your overheating if not then you have less weight :D

Well for now I just chained the motor down so it wont rare up. This car is giving me a lot more issues anyway, so after I get my GS-T up and running, I hate to say it but I think I'll just sell the poor thing. It'll be hard me but I know it needs more work than I have the money for. Besides I'm shooting for an AWD 2gb Talon in my future.

get a long bolt about 2-3 inches long.Make sure you have the exact type of thread as the thread on the sensor.once you get the right bolt fitted, screw the bolt into the hole.make sure that the threads on the bolt go all the way through the bung threads.get a small piece of pipe that will slide over the bolt or if you can use abox wrench.bend the bung whole in your exaust left or right, which ever way your clearance is.be carfull not to strip your threads. You might have to remove your header pipe to do this.Hope this will help you!
