Not Sure What to do Next ???

Ok here's the thing.. My car's a 91 GSX 5spd .. ok so I got the car it has 109,000 Org mls So my frist upgrade was gonna be a 2G mani I pulled the stock off Oil ran out the ports in the Head.. So I got all worried not really know what I was doing Took the head off the car that night .. Looked at all the pistons they just had oil on them no holes.. than i found out about the valve seal prob.. So I took the head apart had it cleaned and decked then when I wped the pistons saw the car jumped timeing at one time cause they all had the marks where they hit So Im getting all new valves the the guy at the shop said the guides are fine.. So the other day my dads frined was looking at the motor and said he saw rubbing on the piston walls and said the pistons are leaning towrds the back of the motor cause its more shiny asked me if the car smoked bad I said no Just start up but I fig that was the valve seals and I drove it like this and it ran ok.. When I started this I was gonna get new valves in the head and put back on the car and go.. But now im worried .. what should I do.. or what is my choises . Plus money is a factor so I dont want a track monster Just want to keep up wit Evo Etc. where should I go from Here ??

Did you do a compression test before you pulled the head? If you had good compression then I would leave the bottom end alone. Having more wear on the back is very common, every motor I've ever did any work on had it and they all ran fine. Just rebuild the head, get all new timing components and be done with it. Your motor really doesn't have that many miles on it.

Yea I should have done a compression Test and I didnt .. I was mad cause I had the car for only a couple weeks so instead of doing things the right way my anger got the best of me and I just ripped into the motor that night ... Ok cool I'll just wrap this up get new stuff and put the head back on... Thanks guys !!!!!!

Compression test would be good to check the engine life.
