Hamilton,
Hey guys
Not sure exactly what to think here. It's been going on for a few months now but my rpm's seem to climb super fast, faster then they should on full throttle anyways. The car picks up speed but I have to shift almost instantly before the car goes over redline. I let the car totally warm up and it seems like if I do a small pull the car acts fine, however as driving for more then say 10 mins or so the rpm problem really starts, especially in a higher gear under more load then after awhile my lower gears start acting the same.
Like I mentioned, while the rpms are going up faster then normal, the car still picks up speed and does not really seem like a slipping clutch.
I have no noticed any strange smells and the car isn't smoking.
I changed the wastegate actuator today and no difference. while changing it I checked for shaft play on the turbo and it seems fine. I also changed quite a few vac hoses and clamps looking for a boost leak but did not see a difference. The car is also just not acting the same as it has in the past when I had a boost leak. Like I said the problem has been going on for a few months now and unless testing to see what the cars doing, I have not been hitting boost and the car seems to be fine.
I also changed the bov from the 2g to 1g.
The problem seemed to be worse a few months ago as well but when I fixed a few pinched hoses it seemed like driving out of boost got a lot better but under boost I would have the same issue
Plugs, wires, coils have all been changed as well
