Hello. My car has been giving me some issues recently. My car does not want to start and when it does it wont really idle, it will jump up to around 3k and then drop a bit and then die. Also it is loud as hell. Im beginning to believe i have a rod knock but im not sure. I had a few questions on the subject and if i could get answers that would be awesome. First question is does rod knock effect idle? Second is would the engine move more then normal in its mounts because of knock? Also, i know this has been answered before but apparently I suck with the search feature, does a rod knock change with RPM's, like at higher rpms should it get worse? Im really hoping that the motor mounts are shot and i have a few bad sensors bc that would be much easier and cheaper but knowing these cars thats not the case. Thanks in advance

I'm going to throw out a fun combination of lifter tick, bad motor mounts and a vacuum/boost leak. Possibly bad ISC.
