Non interference 2.4 hybrid??

I was wondering if I was the only one like this. I just recently finished my 2.4 project with sonata block and crank, eagle rods and JE pistons. Setting timing I noticed that I could turn the crank a full 360 degrees without hitting the valves. At first I was like f^ck, I bent the valves but after a compression test I had 170 across. WTF is with that? Could the additional 8mm plus the cosmtic(sp?) HG do this?

If you had the lifters bled properly (almost fully collapsed) together with the cams where none of the valves were fully open, it is possible not to touch the valves when you turn the crank.
