1992 GST. Recently my timing belt lost a couple of teeth and bent all my intake valves. After diagnosing the problem, I bought a new Mitsubishi timing belt, tensioner, front damper, head, exhaust, & intake gaskets, and a buddy gave me a refurbished head. We installed everything to factory specifications, using the original camshafts and hardware in the replacement head. In addition, a new starter was installed, gel-cell battery, and brand new NGK spark plugs(stock specifications). When starting, the engine cranks but does not turn over. I've checked and rechecked the timing to no avail...I've also checked for spark, and fuel...OK. I've also checked from time to time the battery power, which is also satisfactory. The only thing I'm not too sure about is the compression(although it has backfired through the intake after trying different firing orders with the coil pack, and also can hear gurgling through the tailpipe). I've adjusted the cam-angle sensor 180-degrees and have tried advancing and retarding the timing for each 180-degree turn. So I have fuel, spark, battery power, all starter relays and the MPI has been tested with a multi-meter, the starter is NOT faulty, I've replaced fuel pressure regulator after finding out it was blown after the belt let go, and I possibly have compression(I'll find out for sure once I get my compression tester 80 miles away from my house to the car's actual location!) Is there anything I'm missing besides checking the compression? Any secrets? And is there anything else I can check/test that could possibly cause my nostart? Or does anyone want to fix my car because I'm tearing out my hair trying to figure out what's wrong!? Any help is greatly appreciated in advance!
